Enjoy the Fourth of July with fireworks and a traditional all-American feast. But if you want a little and delicious break from tradition, we've got you covered!

It's going to be an incredible Fourth of July!

After the long months of the pandemic, millions of Americans are ready to celebrate the country's annual birthday party, one of the most memorable holidays. This year's Independence Day will be a very special moment. Even President Joe Biden is encouraging nationwide celebrations to mark the country's return to "life" after more than one year of coronavirus restrictions. More than 1,000 guests will be hosted on the White House South Lawn for a ceremony and to watch the National Mall fireworks. Among the invited, essential workers and military service members.

How to satisfy your Independence Day cravings?

Many restaurants still have safety protocols in place. You may opt for outdoor dining spotsgardens, patios, and rooftops. If you prefer to avoid public areas, takeout and delivery services are the option to choose. However, the most traditional choice remains the classic American cookout with tasty hot dogs, juicy burgers and steaks in a colorful backyard decorated with red, white, and blue ribbons and flags. Here is our idea: How would you like to enjoy the classic barbecue this year with a little (and delicious) Italian flair

Ideas for an Independence Day with an Italian touch?

While you wait for hot dogs and burgers to cook to perfection on the grill, you could intrigue your guests with some of the best Italian appetizers. For example, you could serve a delicious selection of Italian cheese and cold cuts. Not sure which cheese to choose? Try our Provolone, Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano selection accompanied by an assortment of salame, prosciutto and mortadella. Another nice appetizer is the traditional Caprese salad. Not only does it taste great, it's also ridiculously effortless to prepare. You will need sliced fresh mozzarella (or creamy burrata), tomatoesbasil, a sprinkle of salt, and a few drops of extra virgin olive oil. It will leave everyone satisfied! Another great way to entertain your guests is to serve them a nice assortment of bruschetta. All you will need is toasted or grilled bread slices rubbed with garlic while still hot, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt. You can garnish your bruschetta with whatever you prefer: diced tomatoes and basil, or you could try our Campo D’Oro Sicilian pesto, Agromonte bruschetta sauces, Campo d’Oro pates, or Frantoio Oneglia olives patè

Toast the nation's birthday with an Americano!

Accompany your Italian aperitivo with a drink perfect drink for celebrating the United States, namely a classic Americano. It is a refreshing and iconic summertime drink made with equal parts Campari and sweet vermouth, and a splash of club soda. Americano is perfect for celebrating America's birthday; the taste won't disappoint either!
