The tale of the Fiasconaro family is a love story with their homeland, where their sweets have brought the dreamy essence of Sicily to millions around the world. This enduring fairytale unfolds against the picturesque backdrop of the Madonie Park, stemming from the heart of the medieval village of Castelbuono (PA) and has reached over 60 countries.
In 1932 Elena and Giovanni Fraccaro opened a bakery in the historic town of Castelfranco, Veneto, in northern Italy, a beautiful old city surrounded by high defensive walls and not too far from Venice. They began to produce high-quality bread in several varieties. Elena and Giovanni also offered confectionery specialties, quickly becoming very popular in the area.
Pasticceria Cova is one of the oldest Italian pasticcerie. It was founded in 1817 by Antonio Cova, who served in Napoleone Bonaparte’s army. For almost two hundred years, Cova has been synonymous with style, elegance, finesse, and, of course, superb cakes and pastries.
